Thanks to Cox Business Solutions, I have been nominated as a Community Hero in the Phoenix Business Journal's Top Tech Exec Awards. I had the opportunity to connect with some of the other nominees last night at the Prado Restaurant in Scottsdale.
I got the notification about the nomination just before I was leaving on a trip to Nashville, so I was able to enjoy and celebrate while on the road in a really fun city. For those of you that don't know, I lived in Nashville for a four years before moving to Arizona and still have many great friends who live there. After going back, I remember what I liked most about Tennessee - the outdoors. It was cooler than I was expecting for April, but the humidity hadn't set in and the parks weren't too crowded during the week. We visited some of my favorite places, like Radnor Lake and Burgess Falls, and got to checkout some places I had never been, such as Rock Island State Park.
On my return, I found that I was nominated for the Community Hero category alongside Larry Cummings of Isos Technology and Jason Pistillo of the University of Advancing Technology. I'm very excited to be recognized with some pretty big names in the Valley.
If you're interested in attending the Awards event on May 12th and see me win in person, you can register online at the Phoenix Business Journal.
Hope to see you there!
